Levels

Each one of the following levels is adapted to the interests of the student’s age group and are designed according to their level. Thus ensures that the student follows a structured curriculum aiding them in their fluid develoment of English.

Pre-Level

This level is designed exclusively for children aged between 3 and 5 years. The child will be familiarize with the English language through simple games, and will learn to communicate in short sentences.

 

Beginners

At the end of this stage, the student will be able to:

  • Maintain a simple conversation.
  • Give basic descriptions of people, objects and situations.
  • Express opinions about tastes and preferences.
  • Ask questions and provide information with a simple vocabulary.
  • Elementary

The student will have the ability to:

  • Maintain more complex conversations.
  • Read and write articles.
  • Give fundamental opinions both orally and in writing.
  • Listen and understand the central idea and specific aspects of a dialogue, commercial advertisements, and songs.
  • Read stories and novels adequate to their level, perform and analyse characters, predictions, and a variety of activities contributing to the development of creative thinking.


Pre-Intermediate

At the end of this stage, the student will:

  • Read and write articles about a variety of issues.
  • Read and write letters and e-mails.
  • Give fundamental opinions both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a fluid conversation about topics related to trips, entertainment, movies, and books.


Intermediate

The student will have the ability to:

  • Write formal letters.
  • Take notes at conferences and speeches in English.
  • Write articles and critics of books and movies.
  • Watch movies in English and analyze idiomatic expressions.
  • Give fundamental opinions orally and in writing.

Higher Intermediate

In this stage, the student will acquire the skills to:

  • Perform academic and business activities using the English language.
  • Effect oral presentations using Power Point and retro-projector.
  • Write formal letters requesting information about products or services.
  • Write articles and critiques of more complex books or movies.
  • Debate about a variety of topics.


Advanced

At the end of this stage, the student will be able to:

  • Express himself or herself orally at a higher level, giving advanced descriptions and presentations on complex issues, integrating their own and other’s opinions, and elaborating appropriate conclusions.
  • Express fluidly and spontaneously, demonstrating ample lexical repertoire.
  • Demonstrate oral comprehension of abstract and complex issues
  • Recognize idiomatic expressions and register changes.
  • Understand a native speaker of English and maintain conversations on any subject.
  • Demonstrate understanding in the reading of complex academic texts, professional and business issues.
  • Effect oral and written summaries of high complexity texts.
  • Write letters, monographs and articles of an elevated level.

Higher Advanced

  • At the end of this stage, the student is a BILINGUAL speaker, with excellent command of the language, and the ability to:
  • Perform all of the above, with higher levels of precision.
  • Communicate with the highest fluidity, both orally and written.
  • Comprehend English in all speaking situations.
